Peace Pavilion Policies

​

ADMITTANCE and SUPERVISION 

  • The Peace Pavilion is designed to be enjoyed by children of all ages. However, visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.

  • Adults not accompanied by a child may only tour the facility with permission of the Pavilion Director.

  • Adults must accompany children throughout the Peace Pavilion and are responsible for their conduct and well-being.

  • The Peace Pavilion requires a 1 adult to every 5-10 children ratio and does not permit peer chaperones.

Adult is considered any guest over the age of 18 with valid ID in hand at the time of ticket purchase. (Valid ID must contain name, current photo and birth date.)

AGE RESTRICTIONS

  • The exhibit rooms (Peace for Me, Peace for Us, Peace for Everyone, and Peace for the Planet) are available for all ages.

  • The Toddler Room is available for children ages 4 and under. All toddlers must be supervised by an adult at all times.

WEATHER 

  • When schools or public institutions close because of severe weather, the Peace Pavilion will be closed.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR GUESTS AND STAFF, WE DO NOT ALLOW THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

  • Weapons of any kind - Fire arms, knives, bats, crossbows, ammunition.

  • Fake weapons of any kind – glass, plastic, etc. 

  • Chemical weapons – mace, pepper spray, etc.

  • Illegal substances/paraphernalia.

  • Masks that cover the entire face & eyes. 

  • Spray paint/magic markers. 

  • Fireworks/explosives.

  • Drones.

  • Pets (excluding Service Animals).

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Peace Pavilion is full of creativity exhibits, activities, and learning. Please use care, caution, and common sense. The Peace Pavilion is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur. The Peace Pavilion is also not responsible for any damaged or stolen goods or clothing.

 

LEAVING and RETURNING the SAME DAY

Guests will receive a stamp or wristband upon arrival which may be used for same-day reentry. Stamps must be clearly visible, and wristbands must be intact and are not valid after removal.

SMOKING

There is absolutely no smoking (including E-Cigarettes and Vaporizers) while inside the building, in the picnic area, or in the parking lot of the Peace Pavilion.

FOOD and DRINK

Food and drinks are not permitted in the theater or exhibit areas. Tour groups may bring a sack lunch to eat in our Community Room if you reserve the room prior to your visit (fees apply).

PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY

   PERSONAL USE

  • Visitors to the Peace Pavilion are permitted to take photographs and shoot videos for personal use, except in specific exhibits where photography is not permitted or when the Peace Pavilion personnel deem photography as disruptive. Photographs, film, or videotape may not be taken of individuals without their express permission or, in the case of minors, without the express written permission of parents or legal guardians.

  • Personal photographs and videos are not to be used for commercial purposes.

  • While on the Peace Pavilion grounds, visitors may be photographed by the Peace Pavilion photographers, and these images may be used for the purpose of promoting the Peace Pavilion.

  • The Peace Pavilion reserves the right to determine whether the content of photography, filming, or videotaping is objectionable and prohibited.

 

COMMERCIAL USE

  • Professional photographers must arrange prior approval for all editorial and commercial photography, filming, or videotaping at the Peace Pavilion. Commercial photographs must clearly attribute the Peace Pavilion as the location.

  • The Peace Pavilion reserves the right to determine whether the content of photography, filming, or videotaping is objectionable and prohibited.
